DeVries will receive a six-year deal with the school, sources told ESPN. UCLA is the 7th seed in the Midwest Region. They’ll play 10th seeded Utah State Thursday in Lexington, Kentucky.  In the East Region, Oregon is seeded 5th. They’ll play 12th seeded Liberty Friday in Seattle while the Wisconsin Badgers enter the tournament with the 3rd seed taking on 14th seeded Montana Thursday in Denver. CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois Director of Athletics Josh Whitman announced Wednesday a contract extension for longtime Fighting Illini men's tennis head coach Brad Dancer, pending approval by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees at its March 20 meeting. The new agreement keeps Dancer on contract through the 2030-31 season. Currently in his 20th season as head coach and 21st campaign overall at Illinois, Dancer has guided the Orange and Blue to 17 NCAA Tournament berths, 11 Sweet 16 appearances, three Big Ten Tournament titles, and two Big Ten regular-season conference championships.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Illinois baseball  used a seven-run eighth to claim a midweek victory over Western Illinois, 11-4, Tuesday night at Illinois Field. Kyle Schupmann went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a double, three RBI and walk, and Nick Groves also posted a multi-hit effort, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Eight different Illini recorded an RBI in the contest. Payton Hutchings got the win out of the bullpen for Illinois.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill.– The 2025 All-Big Ten teams and individual award winners were announced on Tuesday by the conference office, as well as Big Ten accolades from the Associated Press. Freshman point guard Kasparas Jakucionis is a second-team All-Big Ten selection by the AP, third-team All-Big Ten pick by the league coaches and media, and earned a spot on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team. 

Freshman forward Will Riley  is the Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year, selected by the conference coaches after averaging 12.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Sophomore Tomislav Ivisic is the third Illini newcomer to earn accolades, voted honorable mention All-Big Ten by the media. Ivisic is the team's second-leading scorer and leading rebounder, averaging 12.6 points and 7.6 rebounds. He also leads the Illini with nine double-doubles and 31 blocked shots and is shooting 50% from the field on the season. Graduate student Ben Humrichous was recognized as Illinois' Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree. Coach Brad Underwood now has 19 All-Big Ten selections during his eight-year Illinois tenure.
